Monjaro and A1C: A Deeper Dive

Hi,

In my previous post, I discussed the potential benefits of Monjaro for weight management. One of the key factors in assessing the effectiveness of any diabetes medication, including Monjaro, is its impact on A1C levels.

What is A1C?

A1C, or glycated hemoglobin, is a blood test that provides an average measure of your blood sugar levels over the past two to three months. It reflects how well your body is managing blood sugar.

Healthy A1C Levels:

Non-Diabetic: Less than 5.7%

Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.4%

Diabetes: 6.5% or higher

Monjaro and A1C:

Monjaro, a medication used for type 2 diabetes and weight management, has been shown to significantly lower A1C levels in clinical trials. By improving blood sugar control, Monjaro can help reduce the risk of long-term complications associated with diabetes, such as heart disease, kidney disease, and nerve damage. 1

Important Considerations:

Individual Results May Vary: The impact of Monjaro on A1C levels can vary significantly from person to person.

Lifestyle Factors: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, is crucial for achieving and maintaining optimal A1C levels.

Monitoring: Regular monitoring of A1C levels is essential to track treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

A good healthy diet combined with daily exercise(hey, I walk 30 minutes every day when I wake up), and with plenty of sleep contributes to your path in reversing diabetes.

It can be done.

Stay true to yourself,  follow your doctor’s orders, and when in doubt…ask questions.

Advocating on behalf of your health is well worth the additional asking of any questions when it means your health and well being.

Wishing you all the very best,

-T
